SABECO HONORED AS “OUTSTANDING ENTERPRISE FOR EMPLOYEES"

SABECO, or Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation, was recognized as an "Outstanding Enterprise for Employees" for the first time by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in conjunction with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

At an award ceremony organized by Lao Dong Newspaper on October 29, SABECO was one of the 9 businesses honored by MoLISA for its exceptional efforts in caring for its employees’ well-being and improving their capacities. The "Outstanding Enterprises for Employees" recognition aims to acknowledge businesses contributing to Vietnam's socio-economic and human development while fostering a positive work environment for their employees.

Mr. Lester Tan, the General Director of SABECO, received the certificate from MoLISA and the Vietnam Labor Confederation

The evaluation criteria for this recognition are established by labor experts and assessed various aspects such as income, training, working conditions, social benefits, and activities that promote the physical and mental well-being of employees. This assessment is further validated by various authorities and surveys, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation. This year in particular, the award was honored to the companies which were able to keep their growth momentum regardless of post-Covid 19 economic challenges, maintaining stable production activities, increasing revenue and profits, while taking good care of the physical and mental health of their employees.

SABECO, with nearly 13,000 direct employees, emphasized a people-centric approach in its growth strategy, aiming to maintain stable employment despite the challenges post-COVID-19. The company's business strategy centers on sustainable development with a focus on its workforce as a crucial pillar for growth. People represent one of the six strategic focuses that have aided SABECO in enhancing its competitiveness while sustaining its leading position since the commencement of its transformation in 2019.

New HR policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment were implemented

The corporation also promotes an active and healthy lifestyle among its workforce by organizing events like the SABECO Employees’ Sport Days, encouraging physical activities and camaraderie among employees.
